Our Consumer Committee is made up of consumer representatives from our local community who provide an important link between those who work in the health service and people who use our services.
The focus of this group is to support the NDHS Board and Management to obtain additional community input into the management of the Health service. The committee provides consumer, carer and community views on health and wellbeing issues to assist NDHS make improvement to services and ensure we have open and effective communication with the community.

Who can be involved?
All are welcome to apply to join this group and your level of involvement can vary depending on your availability and the issue concerned. The committee is inclusive and encourages diverse views and opinions. This group represents the whole community, including a variety of age groups, backgrounds, special needs and interests. This committee is an opportunity to have a say on the focus and direction of the health service in your community moving into the future. Representatives from NDHS Senior Management support this committee.
When does this committee meet?
Meetings are held every two months at the hospital with morning tea provided. Meeting are scheduled for 1 hour, followed by a 30 minute education session facilitated by a NDHS staff member.
